LSx are looking for case studies on "open spaces" projects: particularly how they can help promote well-being, cut crime and anti-social behaviour and build more cohesive communities, as well as how they have achieved sustainable funding. We are also collating case studies relating to all Well London areas for our website. If you have a project that you would like to promote online or at a workshop, please contact Sumi Ejiri, s.ejiri@lsx.org.uk or 0207 234 9407.

Camden 'Handbuilt' Art Project
‘Handbuilt’ was a Well London project that challenged the perceptions of different generations by bringing them together to produce a creative arts piece. Artists ‘Face2Face’ helped participants make casts of their hands and to share experiences through creative writing. The casts have been used to build a wall that represents diverse members of a community working together to promote greater understanding and respect between generations. One older participant said; 'The younger people - they need TLC. I think they're so brilliant. I know we get some bad ones but there’s bad in everyone. If you talk to them nicely, they will respond'. Contact Jessica.Robinson@groundwork.org.uk for further details.
More on this case study, and others, can be found on the Well London website.
